No visit to the area would be complete without an excursion to one of the
many distilleries in the area. Duchally is located at
the start of the "Whisky
Trail" which runs up through the Highlands to Spey-side past some of
the most recognised names in the world of whisky.
The new Tullibardine distillery in Blackford is definitely
worth a visit and in the immediate area there are the Famous Grouse and Aberfeldy
Distilleries, both with wonderful visitor centres and an opportunity
to "tak a wee
dram". The Edradour at Pitlochry is the smallest and
one of the oldest in the country.
